- Alternatively, dilute the juice of a lemon with a glass of warm water and gargle with it.
- Apple Cider Vinegar
The antibacterial properties of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) make it second best remedy for curing sore throat. Like lemon, it can also be used in two ways:
- Mix equal amounts of ACV, lemon juice and honey into a cup of warm water and drink the solution slowly. Do this two – three times a day and you’ll see the effect soon.
- Or if you wish, you can make a gargle solution with ACV too. Take a teaspoon of ACV and another teaspoon of salt and mix both of them into a cup of warm water. Gargle with solution several times a day.
- Salt Water
You might’ve heard about this one already. Gargling with salt water also helps a lot in relieving sore throat by cutting phlegm and reducing inflammation. Just mix half teaspoon of salt with a glass of warm water and gargle with solution four times a day. If you don’t like the taste of salt, you can add a teaspoon of honey to the solution. But keep in mind that you don’t have to swallow the solution – just gargle and spit the water out. It’ll give you instant relief.
